About Me
I am currently leading a team of highly skilled technical professionals. We implement business automation solutions for customers, including AI applications to work faster and more efficiently with business information.
I was a Principal Developer Advocate currently working for thin-edge.io. This is an open-source platform for edge devices with limited resources. The last 8 years I have helped developers from startups to corporates, to build apps in the most efficient way, using the latest technologies. I also built various developer communities in EMEA and hosted many technical, mostly hands-on, sessions around the globe.
My focus is on Open source, Internet of Things (IoT) and Edge often in combination with several IoT Cloud platforms. To engage with developers I use different ways like speaking and attending meetups, mentoring at hackathons, speaking at conferences, and delivering workshops to all kinds of developer audiences. I also create content: blogs, tutorials, video’s etc. and I am very active on social media.
I spoke at the biggest developer conferences worldwide, like Web Summit, Rise, Devoxx, Øredev, and many others. My sessions where mostly hands-on because then the audience can have ‘a taste’ of the technology I am talking about.
My most important value is inspiring, motivating and teaching developers new emerging technologies: AI, IoT and also putting these technologies into practice with hands on workshops, demo´s and hackathons. Because I helped many developers I gained new skills to understand complex enterprise or startups environments and translating business problems into technical solutions.
